WASHINGTON -- The Secretary of the Air Force, Michael W. Wynne and Chief of Staff of the Air Force, General T. Michael Moseley will deliver the Fiscal Year 2008 National Defense Budget Request to the House Armed Services Committee February 28th at 10 a.m. in the Rayburn Building.
Last year, they outlined a strategy to address the Air Force's most pressing need--recapitalizing its aging fleet. This year continues that strategy and emphasizes that to maintain the Air Force's asymmetric advantage of Global Vigilance, Reach and Power recapitalizing its aging equipment inventories is the key.
They will discuss the Air Force's commitment to its top priorities: winning the Global War on Terror, caring for Airmen and their families and recapitalizing and modernizing aging aircraft, spacecraft and equipment. Additionally, they will discuss the Air Force's top acquisition priorities as well as the Air Force's dedication to be good stewards of America's resources and to continue to dominate air, space and cyberspace in defense of our Nation now and in the future.
