GENTEXT/RMKS/1.  Per the references, this MARADMIN announces the FY18 MCLOG Logistics Commanders' Course.  Reference (a) provides policy and assigns responsibilities for the execution and management of training and education in advance logistics capabilities.  This MCO describes how Marine Corps Logistics Forces leverage and synchronize current and emergent Service, Joint, Interagency, Commercial, and Multi-National capabilities to provide rapid and precise logistics C2 and sustainment to the point of need.
2.  Mission.  From 27-29 March 2018 MCLOG will host the FY18 Logistics Commanders’ Course to provide training for Logistics Commanders and Senior Enlisted Advisors (Sergeants Major, and Operations Chiefs) in order to better prepare them to tactically employ, train, and lead their Commands.  This course facilitates a unique opportunity for discussion of best practices from current Commanders with selected incoming Commanders and Senior Enlisted Professionals.  The result of this course is to level set the Logistics Commanders and their select Staff on current and developing logistics issues which will directly improve their command and the support they provide.
3.  Execution.
3.a.  Commanders Intent.
3.a.1.  Purpose.  To enhance current Logistics Commanders and Senior Enlisted Advisors ability to employ their units and leverage their experience to prepare those officers about to assume command of a logistics unit.
3.a.2.  Method.  Execute a 3-day course focused on specific logistics and combat readiness issues currently affecting Logistics Commands.  MCLOG will incorporate a holistic approach to improving unit readiness through training, tactics, and procedures to support a Commander’s decision process.  Additionally, Senior Enlisted Advisors (Sergeants Major, and Operations Chiefs) are included to increase perspective, understanding, and communication with the Commanders.
3.a.3.  End State.  Logistics Commanders are better prepared to tactically employ, train, and lead their Commands with their Senior Enlisted Advisors.
3.b.  Concept of Operations.  MCLOG WILL conduct the course at the Simulation Center, Del Mar, Camp Pendleton, CA (CPCA).
3.c.  Coordinating instructions.
3.c.1.  Eligibility.  Slated and current Logistics Command Colonels, Lieutenant Colonels, Sergeants Major, and Operations Chiefs.
3.c.2.  FY18 course date.
3.c.2.a.  This Year’s MCLOG Logistics Commanders Course will be executed 27-29 March 2018.  Travel Days will be 26 and 30 March.

3.c.3.  Registration deadline for MCLOG Logistics Commanders Course is 1 March 2018.
3.c.3.a.  A detailed course agenda will published via email to registered attendees by 10 March 2018.
4.  Admin and Logistics.

4.b.  Lodging.  There is a group reservation at Pacific Views Lodge under MCLOG. Reservations will need to be made no later than 8 March 2018.  After 8 March the group reservation will no longer be valid and billeting will be the responsibility of each attendee.  Government messing not required due to adverse impact to mission.  If government lodging cannot be obtained, attendees must ensure they get a letter of non-availability.  Primary:  Pacific Views Lodge (760) 763-7805

4.c.1.  Course attendance is unit funded.
