GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Situation. The FY18 4th MAW Annual Recruiting and Retention Road Show will be conducted from 7-11 May at designated bases and stations. All enlisted and officer Marines interested in reserve opportunities with 4th MAW units (flying and non-flying billets) are highly encouraged to attend and should view the visit as an opportunity for professional development and education. There will be a question and answer session after each brief.
2. Mission. Reserve Affairs Management (RAM) Branch, in conjunction with the 4th MAW Recruiting and Retention (R2) representatives, will conduct briefs and interviews at designated locations in order to inform transitioning Marines about Marine Corps Reserve opportunities, encourage service in the Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR) and Active Reserve (AR), discuss current bonuses based on the Military Occupational Specialty for all Marines, and travel reimbursement.
3. Execution
a. Concept of Operations. The target population includes first and second term enlisted Marines who will be leaving the Active Component, non-career designated officers, and officers considering resignation who are interested in reserve opportunities within 4th MAW units. In addition, unit leaders, Career Planners, and Prior Service Recruiters are encouraged to attend in order to gain reserve career information that may be useful when providing career counseling to Marines. RAM and 4th MAW R2 will conduct group briefings and individual counseling per the following schedule:

b. Coordinating Instructions. RAM will contact those Marines approaching their End of Active Service date to ensure the transitional population receives notice of these command visits. 4th MAW R2 will contact unit commands and prospective individuals to ensure unit leaders receive notice of these command visits.
4. Administration and Logistics. On-site briefs are open to all who wish to attend. Counseling appointments should be scheduled in advance with the designated POCs. Walk-in counseling appointments are also welcomed.
