GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Based on the volume of inquiries related to the establishment of the cyberspace occupational field, a portal has been designed to serve as a forum for questions and dissemination of guidance.  This portal is operated by DC Information and provides a consolidated location for authoritative information and answers to frequently asked questions.
  1.a.  The OccFld portal is located at https:(slash)(slash)www.milsuite.mil/book/groups/usmc-cyber-occfld/overview.  This site is a CAC-enabled, DOD-provided, collaboration area.  First time users will be prompted to make an account for access.
  1.b.  The portal features information organized to address Occupational Field related topics:
    1.b.1.  Officer Guidance:  Area designated to discuss and pass information related to officer structure and conversion/lateral move processes.  This area will include information for both restricted and unrestricted officers looking to fill the 1702, 1705, 1710, and 1720 MOSs.
    1.b.2.  Enlisted Guidance:  Area designated to discuss and pass information related to enlisted structure and conversion/lateral move processes.  This area will include information for 1711, 1721, and 1799 MOSs.
    1.b.3.  Reserve Guidance:  Area designated to discuss and pass information related to reserve structure and conversion/lateral move processes.  This area will include information for AR, SMCR, and IRR opportunities.
