GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN announces the 2018 Women in Defense (WID) National Conference on 14 June 2018 at the Marriott Wardman Park, 2660 Woodley Road, NW, Washington, D.C. 20008.
2.  The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit that convenes legal and ethical forums for industry, government, and academia to exchange ideas, information, and viewpoints to define Americas most complex National Security threats and develop solutions.  WID strengthens the defense industrial base and workforce by promoting programs which create and enhance opportunities for women, increasing diversity within the defense community.
3.  CMC (MPE) will sponsor twenty-five (25) members registration fees and all travel expenses.  Commanders may authorize Temporary Additional Duty for Marines, civilian Marines, and Sailors who are attached to Marine units to attend.  Local travel is authorized for members in the local area.  All Marine Corps funded participation will be coordinated through the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management (MPE) Branch.  Reservations will be given on a first-come first-served basis.
