Team Travis supports local Fourth of July parade

Despite a windy, overcast cool morning, the annual Fourth of July parade in Vallejo had it's usual festive atmosphere, creative floats, endless fun, and Team Travis out in force.

Leading the parade right behind the Veterans of Foreign Wars color guard and a classic Chevrolet carrying post leaders was the Travis Air Force Base Honor Guard, and two marching contingents representing the 60th Medical Group and the 621st Contingency Response Wing.

As the parade wound along the more than a mile route, people got to their feet, shouting out thanks, and rendering salutes, to the Airmen passing by. Travis Airmen have been supporting local community parades like Vallejo's for many years. Next up in the parade plan is Veterans Day in Fairfield.
