GENTEXT/REMARKS/
1. Purpose. This MARADMIN is to announce the results of the FY18 EOA of the Year Selection Board.
2. Background. The EOA of the Year Award was established to recognize outstanding performance within the 0147 active duty force.
3. Per the references, on 26 June 2018, a selection board convened to consider the nominations submitted. All nominees had exemplary records which demonstrated a consistently high level of performance that significantly and positively impacted their commands’ Equal Opportunity programs. The result of the board is as follows: Master Sergeant Kevin E. Brown, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina was selected as the EOA of the year.
4. The award will be presented at the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI), Patrick AFB, Florida during the upcoming EOA Symposium.
5. Congratulations to Master Sergeant Brown and all who were nominated. Your performance in this vital area is commendable and has directly impacted not only your command, but the entire Marine Corps in a positive manner.
