GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN announces the 2018 National Latina Style Symposium, 6 September 2018 at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel, 2800 South Potomac Ave., Arlington, VA 22202. Subject to conference approval, HQMC M&RA Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management (MPE) will sponsor a limited number of conference/registration fees and all travel expenses. 
2.  The Latina Style mission is to empower, develop, and highlight Latina professional women, entrepreneurs, and military throughout the country.  They focus on areas such as business, corporate America, science, education, civic and political affairs, and the military.  Latina Style is a bridge builder between the Hispanic community and diversity and professional groups.  The intent of this symposium is to provide a broad cross-section of leadership with exposure, training, and unique networking opportunities. During the awards luncheon, Latina Style will honor Latina achievements and present Distinguished Military Service Awards to select service members recognizing their leadership, accomplishments, and commitment to their service.  Latina Style is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps. 3.  Admin and Logistics:  Commanders may authorize Temporary Additional Duty for Marines, civilian Marines, and Sailors who are attached to their unit.  Local travel is authorized for members in the local area.  All Marine Corps funded participation will be coordinated through the MPE Branch.  Reservations will be given on a first-come first-served basis. Rental cars are not authorized.

4b. Awards luncheon (Awardees ONLY): Blue-white dress B, all others remain in dress blue D.
