GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The 2018 National IMAGE 46th Annual National Training Program will be held 10-13 September 2018 at Adam’s Mark Hotel and Conference Center, 9103 E 39th St., Kansas City, MO 64133. Subject to conference approval, HQMC M and RA Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management (MPE) will sponsor a limited number of conference registration fees and all travel expenses.
2. The National IMAGE mission is to promote Hispanic employment in the federal government through training, leadership development, education, and the advancement of Civil Rights for all. National IMAGE’s National Training Program (NTP) focuses on training that provides government employees, including those involved in the management of Hispanic employment and outreach programs, the education and skills necessary to reach their full leadership potential and manage their employment programs effectively. The NTP provides workshops in line with Office of Personnel Management Senior Executive Service Core Qualifications for career development in the Federal workforce. National IMAGE is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps. More information can be found on the National IMAGE website at www.national-image.org.
3. Admin and Logistics: Commanders may authorize Temporary Additional Duty for Marines, civilian Marines, and Sailors who are attached to their unit. Local travel is authorized for members in the local area. All Marine Corps funded participation will be coordinated through the MPE Branch. Reservations will be given on a first-come first-served basis. Rental cars are not authorized. Commands are not authorized to use command funding for rental cars.
