GENTEXT/REMARKS/ 1.  In support of the 10th annual "Feds Feed Families" (FFF) food drive, the Department of the Navy (DON) is encouraged to participate in the donation of non-perishable food items for distribution to nationwide food banks.
2.  Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM) is designated as the Marine Corps lead organization and supported Command for this initiative.  The FFF food drive is scheduled to run through 18 Oct 2018 and is an excellent opportunity for our Marines and Civilian Marines to support their communities.
3.  In 2017, the Federal Government collected over 10 million pounds of donated food of which the Navy and Marine Corps team contributed over 800 thousand pounds.
4.  Concept of Operations:
    (a)  Marine Corps Commands are to designate a FFF command representative to coordinate this initiative with their nearest installation Chaplain.
      (1) National Capital Region contact number 703-784-2518.

      (4) Marine Corps Installation Pacific contact number DSN 315-645-2501.
    (b)  FFF drop off and collection points are to be established throughout each Marine Corps installation, by either the FFF command representative or installation Chaplain.
    (c)  Each Monday, installation FFF command representatives will collect weekly reports from their tenant command FFF representatives and report consolidated numbers (lbs) to MCI region FFF Chaplains by close of business every Tuesday.
    (d)  MCI Region Chaplains submit weekly progress reports compiled from their subordinate units to MCICOM Chaplain.
    (f)  The weekly report includes the following information:
 (1)  Command participation information (names, location)
 (2)  Weight, in pounds, of food collected.
 (3)  If applicable, food bank recipient.
 (4)  Other information:
             (a)  Public affairs articles and photos.
      (b)  Individuals/teams to be recognized/thanked for participation.
      (c)  Comments, concerns, requests for facilitation.
