SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. -- No matter if you're gone a few months or a year, deployments are always hard.
Families, employers and communities are always impacted when reservists and Airmen leave the local area bound for overseas.
On Sept. 8-9, the 916th Air Refueling Wing was finally able to welcome home nearly 150 of its members when they returned from a four-month deployment overseas.
Families waited banners, the USO waited with food and commanders waited with handshakes and words of a job well done.
Deployers received briefings and processed through medical lines before being released to go home to spend some much needed rest and relaxation time with their families and friends.
