SUBJ/2019 CMC MESSAGE TO THE FORCE – CONTINUE THE ATTACK//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  My guidance to the Marine Corps for 2019 has been released and can be found at www.marines.mil/cmc (http:(slash)(slash)www.marines.mil/cmc).  This year's message provides an update on the progress we have made over the last couple of years since my first message, “Advance to Contact.”  Specifically, it highlights those areas where, through a lot of hard work, we continue to be strong, the areas where we continue to make improvements, and lastly, areas where we need to continue to attack as a team to be the elite warfighting organization that our Nation expects and demands.
2.  I task leaders to conduct professional discussions about the Message at the unit level down to the fire-team in order to develop initiatives for improvement.  The Inspector General of the Marine Corps (IGMC) will include this task as a special interest item as his team inspects units throughout the Corps.  Be ready with questions and candid feedback.  Together we will continue to become more lethal, ready, and resilient.
