GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- The Grissom Community Council, a civilian nonprofit group that supports activites at Grissom, held a meeting of its exectuve board recently to plan for the election of officers and other events in 2011.

The GCC annual dinner and election of officers will take place on January 21 in conjunction with 434th Air Refueling Wing commander Col. William T. "Tim" Cahoon's "State of the Base Address."
The GCC provides support to the
Airmen,
Marines, Soldiers and civilian employees of Grissom ARB through a number of liaison programs. Grissom ARB is one of only five
Air Force Reserve Command bases in the nation and is home to a variety of organizations, including the 434th Air Refueling Wing. The 434th ARW is equipped with a fleet of
KC-135R Stratotanker aircraft and its aircraft and personnel routinely deploy around the world in support of the Air Force's aerial refueling mission.
