GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- The empty hull of a KC-135R Stratotanker stands open and ready to receive occupants and cargo. The KC-135R is a multiple-purpose aircraft whose main mission is aerial refueling but also provides added support with airlift of passengers and cargo.
