GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The purpose of this MARADMIN is to provide an immediate update to the definition of work task code (WTC) 3, assembly/disassembly, contained in reference (a). This updated definition does not change Marine Corps policy regarding personnel qualification and certification for Class V ammunition and explosives contained in reference (a).
2. The current definition of WTC 3 in reference (a) addresses operations to facilitate the complete buildup/breakdown of ordnance end items/explosive devices; however, the definition is silent on the operation of testing. Testing is part of operations that facilitates the complete buildup/breakdown of ordnance end items/explosives, to include functions such as reprograming of end items. This definition gap in the WTC coverage of ammunition and explosives operations is clarified in this MARADMIN and the definition change provided below. The provided definition and WTC title change will be incorporated into the next change of reference (a).
3. To clearly identify the inclusion of testing in WTC 3, the title of WTC 3 will be changed to “Assembly/Disassembly/Testing.” This title change shall be updated on the sample documents provided as Appendix A and Appendix B. Page C-2, paragraph 2.c. will be changed to read: Ordnance item/explosive device assembly/disassembly/testing. Page D-1, paragraph b, the reference to assembly/disassembly, will be changed to assembly/disassembly/testing. Also, on page D-1, the title of paragraph c. will be changed to: WTC 3- Assembly/Disassembly/Testing.
4. The definition of WTC 3 Assembly/Disassembly/Testing, provided in Appendix D, page D-1, paragraph c, will be expanded. The following sentence shall be added to the end of the current definition paragraph: This includes the physical act of conducting a test on All-Up-Rounds or A&E components (e.g., built-in test, programming, reprogramming, presetting, etc.).
5. This MARADMIN applies to the total force.
