GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. In accordance with reference (a), this MARADMIN announces the cancellation of the Staff Sergeant Bonus (SSB) and provides updates to reference (b).
2. Cancellation of the SSB
a. Staff sergeants and staff sergeant selects in critically short Primary Military Occupational Specialties (PMOSs) may request for retention with the FY19 Selective Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR) Retention Bonus (SRB-R).
b. Reference (c) announces the FY19 SRB-R and provides administrative guidance for all eligible Marines.
3. Update to the Enlisted Affiliation Bonus (EAB) for Sergeants
a. Sergeants with the following Primary Military Occupational PMOSs are eligible for the EAB at the 20,000 dollar rate: 0211, 0241, 0317, 0321, 0372, 1721, 2336, 2631, 2651, and 2874.
b. Sergeants with the following PMOSs are eligible for the EAB at the 15,000 dollar rate: 0471, 0627, 1812, 2161, 2831, 5821, 5951, 5953, 5979, 6154, 6156, 6173, 6176, 6216, 6217, 6256, 6842, and 7236.
c. Sergeants with the following PMOSs are no longer eligible for the EAB: 0842, 1316, 1833, 2141, 2146, 2641, 3451, 4421, 4541, 5939, 6227, and 6257.
4. Updates to the Enlisted Affiliation Bonus (EAB) for Corporals
a. Corporals with the following PMOSs are eligible for the EAB at the 20,000 dollar rate: 0317, 0321, 1721, 5979, and 6124.
b. Corporals with the following PMOSs are eligible for the EAB at the 15,000 dollar rate: 0627, 2161, 2651, 2831, 5951, 5953, 5974, 6114, 6154, 6156, 6173, 6176, 6276, 6842, 7236, and 7257.
c. Corporals with the following PMOSs are no longer eligible for the EAB: 2146, 5952, 5954, and 7372.
5. Clarification to Eligibility Conditions for the EAB
a. Per reference (a), Marines may only receive one affiliation bonus in the Selected Reserve.
b. The following replaces Paragraph 3a of reference (b): Sergeants and corporals may only receive one EAB in the Selected Reserve. Marines who previously received an obligation in the Selected Reserve under the EAB are no longer eligible for this incentive.
6. This incentive is available for service in Selected Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR) units only.
7. This bulletin cancels on 30 September 2019.
