GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN solicits applications from qualified reserve Sergeants Major (SgtMaj) for slate and assignment to a minimum of 24 months and maximum of 36 months of Active Duty for Operational Support (ADOS) tour at HQMC:  Reserve Affairs Sergeant Major, HQMC, MRA, Quantico, VA for assignment no later than 1 August 2020.
2.  Sergeants Major must meet the following criteria:
    a.  Must have been selected on the Fiscal Year 2016 (FY16) promotion board or earlier.
    b.  Must have successfully served in an O6 – level command Sergeant Major billet for two years prior to assignment to the new billet.
    c.  Must meet Height and Weight (HT/WT) standards and have passed a most recent Physical Fitness Test and Combat Fitness Test (PFT/CFT).
    d.  Must not obtain over 16 years of active duty time as a result of this assignment.  If necessary, must submit a high active duty time waiver Reference (b).
    e.  Enlisted Control Force Controls (ECFC) waivers may be considered based on the needs of the Marine Corps.
3.  All correspondence must arrive at HQMC (Reserve Affairs) no later than 18 September 2019.  Questions concerning the slating process should be addressed to the Reserve Affairs Division SgtMaj.
4.  All package submissions will be in standard naval letter format addressed to the Director of Reserve Affairs (Attn:  SgtMaj), Headquarters Marine Corps, 3280 Russell Road, Quantico, VA 22134-5103 via signed endorsements from the first O6 and General Officer in the chain of command (if presently in the Individual Ready Reserve, the endorsement must be via the Force Headquarters Group (FHG) Commanding General via the FHG SgtMaj).  The following is the list of enclosures for the submission package:
        (1) Current certified promotion photo with height/weight verification
        (2) Professional resume
        (3) Professional biography
        (4) Master Brief Sheet
        (5) Previous three (3) Fitness Reports
        (6) Letters of recommendation
5.  In addition to the listed enclosures, the candidates will travel to MFR New Orleans for an in person interview to be held on the 26 September 2019.  The candidates will receive separate correspondence from the MFR SgtMaj on travel funding.
6.  Results of the slating board will be published via separate MARADMIN.
