GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Congratulations to the recipients of the Higgins, Stoner, and Roebling Awards for Acquisition Innovation and Excellence. These awards are co-sponsored by the Commander, Marine Corps Systems Command and the Marine Corps Association and Foundation to recognize superior professional excellence and/or support of systems and equipment to the operating forces. Through both personal and professional example, they have set the standard for others to emulate in the conduct of their professional activities and career development goals. Their resourcefulness, initiative, and selfless dedication to duty reflected great credit upon themselves, the acquisition community, and the Marine Corps.
2.  The award recipients are:
2.a.  Andrew J. Higgins Award for Acquisition Innovation and Excellence – Major Richard Beeson from the Portfolio Manager, Command Element Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia.
2.b.  Eugene M. Stoner Award for Acquisition Innovation and Excellence - Master Gunnery Sergeant Armando Quintanilla from the Portfolio Manager, Logistics Combat Element Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia.
2.c.  Donald Roebling Award for Acquisition Innovation and Excellence - Ms. Peggy Smith from the Portfolio Manager, Ground Combat Element Systems, Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia.
3.  The awards were presented at the Marine Corps Systems Command Acquisition Excellence Awards ceremony in Quantico, Virginia on 20 August 2019.
