GENTEXT/RMKS/1.  This MARADMIN announces the 2020 Marine Corps Logistics Operating Group (MCLOG) Commanders' Course, to be conducted at Rosenthal Auditorium, Joint Base Meyer-Henderson Hall, 17-19 March 2020.
2.  Mission.  From 17-19 March 2020, MCLOG will host the FY20 Logistics Commanders Course At Joint Base Meyer-Henderson Hall to provide training for logistics commanders and senior enlisted advisors in order to better prepare them to train, tactically employ and lead their commands.
3.  Execution.
3.A.  Commander’s Intent.
3.A.1.  Purpose.  Prepare current and incoming commanders and senior enlisted leaders to employ their commands within the MAGTF AND Across The Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLENT), providing exposure to ideas, issues and concepts that will affect employment of logistics units at the tactical through operational level.
3.A.2.  Method.  MCLOG will conduct a seminar that exposes slated and current commanders to content spread across three Primary areas: 1) Resourcing and Readiness; 2) Fighting the Logistics Combat Element (LCE); and 3) Leadership and Commandership.  The seminar will include senior leader (GO/FO) guest speakers and discussions to address topics relevant to Marine Logisticians within the MAGTF and across the JLENT.  Finally, this seminar will provide a valuable opportunity for O5 and O6 commander selects and their sergeants major selects to interact and discuss topics of mutual interest.
3.A.3.  End state.  Logistics Commanders and Sergeants Major (including selects) provided the opportunity to gain insights and hear senior leader perspectives on command in logistics units, receive exposure to senior leaders from across the JLENT, and have the opportunity to interact and discuss topics that will impact their units during their command tours.  exposure, reflection and discussion will enable preparation and provide a broad context commanders will employ and command their unit.
3.B.  Concept of operations.  MCLOG will conduct a three day seminar with senior leader briefs, panel discussions, and small group discussions.  Day one will focus on resourcing and readiness, with briefs from senior leaders within the service on topics of cpg implementation, current readiness and personnel.  anticipate briefers will include senior leadership from Logistics Command, Marine Corps Installations Command, VARIOUS Head Quarters Marine Corps and Installations and Logistics (I&L) entities, and discussion with the Deputy Commandant, I&L.  Day one concludes with a no host social; location to be determined.  Day two will include briefs from MCLOG on battle staff and service level training, intelligence support in the LCE, and the commander’s role in unit training management.  Anticipate MLG CG/SgtMaj panel to conclude day two.  Day three will include GO/FO guest speakers from across the JLENT and final discussion with service level leadership.
3.C.  Coordinating Instructions.
3.C.1.  Eligibility.  slated and current Logistics Command Colonels, Lieutenant Colonels, And Their Sergeants Major.
3.C.2.  Topics. MCLOG requests current and future commanders provide recommended discussion topics for small group discussions no later than 12 January 2020.
3.C.3.  MCLOG Logistics Commanders Course will be executed 17-19 March 2020; travel days will be 16 and 20 March. 19 March is a full training day; registrants should plan travel accordingly.
3.C.4.  Registration. Commanders attending are requested to email MCLOG'S student services at robert.sunstrom@usmc.mil referencing this message.
3.C.5. Registration deadline is 18 February 2020.
3.C.6.  A detailed course agenda will published via email to Registered attendees by 1 March 2020.
4.  Admin and Logistics.
4.A.  Minimum clearance is secret. Send clearance info via Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) through local security manager to SMO CODE:  MS3510 POC:  SSGT LIVIA, IVAN/TEL:  760-830-3227/EMAIL:  IVAN.LIVIA@USMC.MIL.
4.B.  Lodging and Messing.  Government billeting and messing is not available.  Multiple commercial hotels are in the vicinity and individual reservations will need to be made for attendees.
4.B.1. MCLOG will arrange for coffee mess and lunch at seminar venue;  details TBP separately.
4.C.  Funding.
4.C.1.  Course attendance is unit funded.
4.C.2.  Support personnel will be funded and provided by MCLOG.
4.D.  Uniform:  Woodland Marpat Utilities.
5.  Command and Signal.
