GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. This calling message announces the convening of the Enlisted Professional and Personal Development Summit.
2. The Enlisted Professional and Personal Development Summit will be sponsored by The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps from 3 - 7 February 2020 at Marine Corps University, Warner Hall, Quantico, VA.
2.a. The summit leads are:

2.b. The following personnel are requested to attend as well as share their expertise:

2.c. Invited distinguished guest include: Chief of Learning Officer of the Navy
3. Background. The topic of enlisted professional and personal development is aligned to the Commandant’s Planning Guidance and supported by the Commandant of the Marine Corps as an area where he desires the senior enlisted of the Corps to provide guidance and recommendations.
4. Purpose. The purpose of the summit will be to review and make recommendations on the current and future development of the enlisted force through Service Specific Enlisted Professional Military Education, Military Occupational Skills (MOS) and Skills related to professional development and collegiate educational opportunities with a specific focus on the Marine Corps University and the Navy Community College.
5. End State. To provide a comprehensive assessment and make recommendations on how to improve the current and future development of the enlisted force.
6. Tasks. Submit names of attendees via email to SgtMaj Cutsail (see POC above) NLT 10 Jan 2020.
6.a. The following units are requested to provide the following:
UNITS
I MEF - 2 Active Duty Marines (1- Cpl, 1- GySgt)
II MEF - 2 Active Duty Marines (1 – Sgt, 1 -SSgt)
III MEF – 2 Active Duty Marines (1 FTAP, 1 STAP - any grade)
MFR - 2 Reserve Marines (1 FTAP, 1 STAP - any grade)
7. Administration and Logistics. This summit will be conducted from 3 – 7 February 2020 at Marine Corps University, Warner Hall. Travel days are 2 February and 8 February 2020.
7.a. The uniform for the summit is the Woodland MARPAT with sleeves down and business casual attire for civilian attendees.
7.b. Funding. Funding is the responsibility of individual commands.
7.c. A detailed schedule will be provided to summit members upon submission.
7.d. Announcements, schedules, and read-a-head material will be uploaded to the SMMC Summit SharePoint Page. Access to the SMMC Summit SharePoint page will be approved upon confirmation of attendees.
