GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. This MARADMIN is to notify the distribution list of Change 1 to MCO 1001.52K.
2. Reference (a) is updated as detailed below.
2.a. Officer Information
2.a.1. Addition to Qualifications. Officers with 15 years or less of cumulative active duty service are eligible to apply to the AR Program.
2.a.2. Addition to Application Process. RC officers may elect to carry over leave if accessed within 30 days of a previous period of active duty. AC officers electing a seamless transition between the AC and the AR (no break in active duty service) will not be permitted to sell back leave. AC officers electing to sell back leave must have a minimum 24 hour break in active duty service. Election must be made via NAVMC 11060 prior to current EAS.
2.a.3 Addition to Career Designation. Majors and below that accept their selection for career designation will incur a 24-month obligated service to the AR program.
2.a.4. Change to Career Designation. Lieutenant Colonels and Lieutenant Colonel Selectees will be non-competitively selected for career designation and will not incur obligated service to the AR program due to career designation.
2.b. Enlisted Information
2.b.1. Change to Service Limits. Staff Sergeants who have twice failed selection to the next higher grade may be denied further service and released from the AR program at their EAS or by guidelines outlined in the annual ECFC MARADMIN.
2.b.2. Remove from Service Limits. Table on page 3-8 is no longer valid and should not be referenced.
