GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. This MARADMIN solicits nomination packages for the NSA/CSS Director's Trophy. The Director’s Trophy is awarded annually to the cryptologic element from each military Service that made the most outstanding contribution to the tactical SIGINT mission during the previous calendar year (CY).
2. Submit nomination packages for CY19 to Headquarters Marine Corps, Deputy Commandant for Information, Intelligence Division via the Marine Cryptologic Office to the POCs listed above. All nomination packages are due no later than 31 January 2020.
3.a. Based upon achievements accomplished over the course of CY19, the following units may be submitted for consideration: 1st Radio Battalion, 2d Radio Battalion, 3d Radio Battalion, and Marine Raider Support Group, Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command.
3.b. Nomination packages must consist of an unclassified citation of no more than one page in length and a classified narrative justification not to exceed three pages. Narratives shall summarize the submitting unit's significant accomplishments in support of CY19 tactical missions.
3.c. Provide contact information of the individual most familiar with the unit's accomplishments to serve as point of contact for clarification or verification, logistical arrangements for the award ceremony, and to serve as the Marine Corps contact for the NSA/CSS protocol office, should additional information be required.
3.d. Forward nomination packages in soft copy, .pdf format to the following addresses:

4. Upon receipt of nomination packages, HQMC POCs will:
4.a. Consolidate and format nomination packages.
4.b. Form a voting committee consisting of Deputy Commandant for Information, Intelligence Division and Marine Cryptologic office (MCO) personnel to review submitted packages and select nomination.
4.c. Submit nomination package to the Director of Intelligence (DIRINT).
5. DIRINT will approve, endorse, and forward nomination package to NSA/CSS.
