GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Subject to conference approval, the 2020 USMC Asian Pacific American (APA) Professionals Leadership Seminar will be held March 12 – 13, 2020 at The Clubs at Quantico on Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA.  HQMC, Manpower and Reserve Affairs Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch(MPE) will sponsor a limited number of conference/registration fees and local travel.
2.  USMC APA Professionals are dedicated to building and strengthening the APA community of leaders through professional development and enhanced career opportunitunities.  The 2020 USMC APA Professionals Leadership Seminar will present an opportunity to connect on three organizational levels:  individual – leadership development and mentorship; community – building relationships and strengthening ties; and institution – stronger APA representation.  The theme for the Seminar is “Charisma and Context:  Leverage Your Surroundings, Personal Brand and Presence.”  USMC APA Professionals is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps.  More information can be found on the USMC APA Professionals website at www.usmcapaprofessionals.com or the event site at www.usmcapaseminar2020.splashthat.com.
3.  Local travel is authorized for members who are not stationed aboard MCB Quantico, VA.  All Marine Corps funded participation must be coordinated through the MPE Branch.  Reservations will be given on a first-come first-served basis.  Rental cars are not authorized.  Commands are not authorized to use command funding for rental cars.
4.  To attend this event please email your name, rank, unit, and duty station to the POCs via your officer-in-charge.
