GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  In accordance with the references, this MARADMIN provides annual guidance on the Weapons, Optics, and Modular Attachments required [as fielded and reflected on unit Table of Equipment (T/E)] during annual rifle training (ART), annual pistol training (APT), and authorized modifications to the service rifle and pistol for the fiscal year indicated.
2.  This MARADMIN supersedes and cancels reference (ref) D.
3.  In accordance with REF E, as approved by Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration (DC CD&I), the following weapons, optics, modular attachments and modifications are authorized for use in the conduct of ART and APT.
4.  The following pistols are authorized for the Combat Pistol Program (CPP); Item, Nomenclature/Table of Authorized Material Control Number (TAMCN):
4.A.  Pistol, M9/E1250.
4.B.  Pistol, M9A1/E1245.
4.C.  Pistol, Close Quarter Battle, M45A1/E1251.
4.D.  Pistol, Glock-19, all variants, with associated holster/equipment/National Stock Number (NSN) 1005-09-000-7546 (TAMCN:  N60022).  Refer to paragraph 13 for additional details.
4.E.  Pistol, M18/E0030, with associated equipment (once the pistol has been fielded and new equipment training has been completed).

Note 1:  These are the only tested, approved, and authorized aluminum magazines for use in the weapons indicated for both training and combat.
Note 2:  This sling is the primary model.  The 3-point combat sling is authorized but will be removed from Stock List 3 and replaced by attrition.
Note 3:  This BUIS is intended as primary model.  Other BUIS are authorized until they are no longer serviceable, then they shall be replaced with the item listed above.
Note 4:  The visible light illuminator (AN/PVS 29) is the white light for the M16A4 and M4 rifles.  Similar weapons mounted flashlights are also authorized.

11.E.  Adjustable buttstock (M16A4) kit/1005015696938/MI-05538/10012A-OR/1A.  Note:  The adjustable buttstock (M16A4) is used to gain optimal length of pull and eye relief when utilizing Personal Protective Equipment such as body armor.  Units are encouraged to purchase and install kits as needed but must retain fixed buttstocks.
12.  In keeping with the “train as you fight” ethos, it is imperative that Marines know how to properly and effectively arrange and mount modular attachments.  Improper mounting can lead to equipment loss.  Improper arrangement can lead to a device interfering with another.  Proper Pre-Combat Checks/Pre Combat Inspections during training will ensure this does not become a combat liability.
13.  The recently procured Glock 19 listed in paragraph 4 is authorized for units with this pistol on their T/E and assigned for distribution under the Marine Corps fielding plan. Command approved concealed holsters are authorized for this item.
14.  The grip pod, NSN:  1005015411772 for the service rifle/carbine and the bipod, Part Number:  IWNS-911/3A703 for the M27 IAR, are authorized to be attached to the weapon but the legs of the grip pod or bipod will not be used to support the weapon while firing Marine Corps Combat Marksmanship Program, Table 1/1A.
15.  Weapons Training Battalion Quantico, Marksmanship Program Management Section will release this message annually in order to update the authorized weapons, optics and modular attachments required for annual rifle and pistol training.
