GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The reference established the mandatory possession date for the new female blue dress coat as 1 October 2022 and the obsoleting date for the current female blue dress coat as 30 September 2022.
2.  Marines with current contracts (or who will begin terminal leave in conjunction with their retirement) that end on or before 1 January 2023, are waived the requirement to own the new female blue dress coat before 1 October 2022, and may continue to wear their current female blue dress coat until 1 January 2023.  If a Marine retires or is discharged from the Marine Corps prior to 1 December 2022, they may wear either their current female blue dress coat or the female blue dress coat at their option into retirement or to eligible events as a Veteran of the Marine Corps.  No other waivers of the mandatory female blue dress coat possession date or obsoleting date of the current female blue dress coat will be considered.
