1.A. Pursuant to reference (a) through (r), this MARADMIN supplements and clarifies particular paragraphs of MARADMIN 213/20 reference (l), provides additional clarifying guidance to Reserve Component (RC) personnel seeking COVID-19 related extensions, and provides guidance for follow on training of Incremental Initial Active Duty Training (IIADT) Marines.
2. Additional and Clarifying RC extension guidance.
2.A. Marines on Active Duty Operational Support (ADOS) may request extensions on a case-by-case basis through their appropriate chain of command. This guidance updates language contained within reference (l) regarding extensions while on ADOS.
2.A.1. RC personnel who will require adjustment of a Mandatory Removal Date (MRD) or other statutory waivers will not be considered for extension. Currently, there are no COVID-19 related exceptions to statutory provisions limiting RC extensions (including MRDs).
2.A.2. Reserve Marines should be prepared to EAS at end of their respective orders on schedule (unless an extension has been approved). Due to ongoing COVID-19 disruptions, Marines should anticipate and plan for longer timelines to complete transition requirements.
3. Incremental Initial Active Duty Training (IIADT) Marines.
3.A. Marines who affiliated under the IIADT program (commonly referred to as 92-Day Reservists or Split-I) will be approved and funded for travel to follow on MOS school as part of the Accession Pipeline travel exception IAW reference (c).
3.B. Orders for 92-Day Reservists will include provision for Restriction of Movement (ROM) during performance of duties.
3.C. Commanders may defer IIADT up to one year due to COVID-19 impacts. Examples justifying a deferment include ROM requirements adversely impacting contractual obligations by causing orders to exceed 92 days, or travel presenting undue risk to Marines.
3.D. Marines who have reclassified within the IIADT program will be considered part of the IIADT population until they have been assigned a Primary Military Occupational Specialty (PMOS).
4. RC Lateral Moves
4.A. IAW reference (q) lateral moves of RC personnel are authorized as part of accession pipeline travel.
4.B. Requests for lateral moves will be processed with ROM considerations in mind. Requesting Commands will ensure coordination prior to movement in order to meet local COVID-19 requirements.
