GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. On 3 August 2020, the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (DC, M&RA) convened the FY21 Recruiting Station Commanding Officer (RSCO) Selection Board to select officers as primary candidates and identify alternates for duty as RSCO beginning in 2021.
2. Marine Corps Recruiting Command is dedicated to recruiting high quality men and women from across our nation to earn the title "Marine". To reinforce and continue ongoing recruiting success, a board of 13 senior officers reviewed the records of all eligible candidates and selected 16 as primary candidates for RSCO. The board selected an additional 18 officers as alternates. Demonstrated leadership and the potential to operate effectively in this unique, independent duty environment were among the factors considered in the selection process.

5. I encourage commanders to prepare these selected officers with the opportunity for PMOS key billet development in the months remaining on their present tour prior to reporting for duty as a RSCO.
6. Alternates will be screened by the Commandants Professional Intermediate-level Education Board (CPIB) to attend associated programs in FY21.
7. Officers selected by the board to serve as Recruiting Station Commanding Officers should contact their respective monitors regarding reporting dates.
