GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  On behalf of all Marines, I want to extend my congratulations to the United States Air Force on its 73rd birthday. 
2. Since 18 September 1947, the men and women of the United States Air Force have shared in the hardships of war, standing shoulder to shoulder with Marines.  At this time of year every year, all Marines and the Nation rightfully recall with great pride and appreciation the courage and sacrifices made by the men and women of the United States Air Force in Korea, Vietnam, and across the Middle East.  Know that Marines remain as confident as ever in the United States Air Force's warfighting ability and its dedication to defending America and our way of life.  
3. Innovative thinking, resolute actions, and the application of technology are the hallmarks of the United States Air Force.  As you gather to celebrate your storied past, do so knowing that every Marine honors your service and sacrifice and proudly stands with you.  Fly, fight, and win!
