SUBJ/42ND ANNIVERSARY OF THE RELIGIOUS PROGRAM (RP) SPECIALIST RATING//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  On 15 January 2021, we commemorate the 42nd anniversary of the Navy's Religious Program Specialist (RP) rating.  RPs have served alongside Marines in every clime and place, in combat and in garrison.  In the faithful disposition of their duties and their unwavering commitment to God, country, and our men and women in uniform, RPs have directly contributed to the success of the Marine Corps for nearly half a century.
2.  The support RPs provide, on and off the battlefield, is consistently marked with professionalism and a strong sense of teamwork.  In their role assisting Chaplains in Religious Ministry, RPs ensure Marines and Sailors are well cared for wherever they serve.
3.  RPs, you are an essential part of our Sea Services.  Marines are truly grateful for your dedicated and selfless service.  We know that your impact in the years to come will be equally exceptional.  On behalf of all Marines and their families, I want to thank you and wish you a Happy "RP" Birthday.
