GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Reference (a) incorporates the background, objectives, and instructions for the virtual Training Input Plan (TIP) Working Group on 9 and 10 March.  This message provides final guidance to sponsors who must submit formal school training requirements to that working group.  Importantly, this message also requests that, prior to the working group, sponsors advise whether they anticipate increasing FY21 or FY22 requirements due to any recently lost training opportunities.
2.  Working group execution.
2.a.  The working group will meet virtually on Microsoft Teams.  To join the virtual team, open Microsoft Teams.  At bottom left, select "Join or create a team."  Search for team name "FY23 - 27 Training Input Plan Working Group."
2.b.  When established, dial-in information will also be posted within the virtual team.  If unable to participate via Teams, use the point of contact provided to ask for dial-in details.  Please use phone as primary and e-mail as secondary.  Those who use Commercial Virtual Remote Teams may need to dial-in.
2.c.  Within the virtual team, under the tab "Files," the working group host will post an agenda and any other documents attendees may need in advance, for example, the "Sponsor TIP Tool User Guide."
2.d.  The scope of the working group is narrow.  It will address courses that have both a) more than one sponsor, and b) a total requirement that exceeds course capacity.  For courses not satisfying those two criteria, Student Registrar Branch intends to validate those requirements outside of the 9 - 10 March working group.  Sponsors whose course requirements do not meet those two criteria should submit their requirements in accordance with reference (a), but need not plan to attend the working group.
2.e.  If a course does not have more than one sponsor, or if a course's total requirement does not exceed capacity, but it is still a course that warrants close attention, then Student Registrar Branch will contact the sponsor(s) to ensure attendance.  The agenda posted within Teams will identify sponsors who are expected to attend as well as sponsors whose attendance is not required.  Also, if a sponsor believes a course warrants close attention, contact Student Registrar Branch to nominate it.  Please use phone as primary and e-mail as secondary.
3.  Sponsor contact information and FY21 and FY22 requirements.
3.a.  Sponsors, please ensure your contact information in Student Registrar module is current by 9 February.  Many sponsors have names, e-mails, and phone numbers that are no longer accurate.
3.b.  Within Marine Corps Training Information Management System, go to Student Registrar module.  At the top of the screen, hover the cursor over "Sponsor."  Click on "Sponsor TIP Tool."  At top left, click on "Sponsor."  In the list provided, find your sponsor code.  At far left, select the drop-down menu.  Select "Edit Sponsor."
3.c.  Sponsors, by 16 February, please advise Student Registrar Branch if you anticipate increasing FY21 or FY22 requirements due to any recently lost training opportunities.
4.  This MARADMIN applies to the total force.
5.  Release is authorized by Lieutenant General Lewis A. Craparotta, Commanding General, Training and Education Command.//
