GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce the procedures to join the Marine Corps Shooting Team (MCST), new requirements for the team, and to solicit volunteer applications from qualified Marines to fill billets of Combat Marksmanship Coach military occupational specialty (MOS) (0933), Combat Marksmanship Trainer MOS (0931), and Competitor / Instructor.
2.  All active duty Marines, any rank, any MOS, are encouraged to apply.  The target audience are Noncommissioned Officers (NCOs) and Staff NCOs.  Officers should coordinate assignment to the MCST through the listed points of contact (POCs) and their Manpower Management Division Officer Assignments (MMOA) Monitor.  Competitive marksmanship experience is required.  Marines with 0933/0931 experience are encouraged to apply.
3.  Marines wishing to volunteer must meet the following criteria:
3.a.  Must have a current qualification for the service rifle and pistol.
3.b.  Must have first class Physical and Combat Fitness Test.
3.c.  Must meet height and weight standards.
3.d.  Must be in a full duty status.
3.e.  Must not have received any Non-Judicial Punishments within the last 12 months or been involved in any alcohol related incidents within the last 24 months.
4.  The application process to apply for MCST is:
4.a.  Applicants will contact the listed POCs to discuss their intent to apply.
4.b.  MCST will send applicants a Permanent Personnel Application (PPA).
4.c.  Applicants will coordinate with their unit career planner to complete a Reenlistment Lateral Move (RELM) package.
4.d.  Applicants will submit both PPA and RELM packages to the MCST POCs.
4.e.  The Commanding Officer (CO), Weapons Training Battalion (WTBN), is the permanent Team Captain, MCST.  The CO, WTBN will endorse and return all packages within 30 days.
4.f.  Applicants will return their completed PPA and RELM packages via their unit career planner.  Requests must be submitted electronically using the Total Force Retention System.  Career planners will utilize the Special Duty Assignment (MISC Duty) with “0” months requested.
5.  This MARADMIN is not applicable to Marine Corps Reserve.
