GENTEX/RMKS/1. Reference (a) prescribes the requirement for the SF 182 to be completed by GS-0083 Police Officers as government employees receiving formal training under the MCLEP. Reference (a) further prescribes the SF 182 to be completed in accordance with OPM requirements, reference (c), on continued service agreements guidance.
2. Effective immediately:
2.a. In accordance with reference (a), all GS-0083 Police Officers attending the Basic Police Officer Course (BPOC) hosted at the MCPA shall sign and include the SF 182 in the BPOC Screening/Interview Checklist sent to the MCPA organization mailbox (OMB) at SMB_PPO_PS_PSL_MCPA@usmc.mil. GS-0083 Police Officers attending the Military Working Dog Basic Handlers Course shall send the SF 182 to the MCLEP Program Manager via MCPA OMB prior to attending this course. Correspondence shall adhere to the guidance prescribed in reference (b).
2.b. The MCLEP Program Manager shall sign Section E as the funding source authority, and the MCPA Executive Director/Head, Training and Education shall sign Section F for GS-0083 Police Officers attending and completing the aforementioned courses.
2.c. Completed SF 182 shall be retained on file by the MCLEP Program Manager, and copies shall be sent to the employee’s parent command.
2.d. The SF 182 can be accessed via the SharePoint provided in reference (b).
2.e. Employees that fail to sign the SF 182 will be denied enrollment or sent back to parent commands if already in training.
3. This message applies to training starting, or already in session, after the date of this message. This includes BPOC 04-21 already in session.
4. The aforementioned changes shall be implemented in future updates to reference (a).
