This Marine Administrative Message (MARADMIN) serves as clarification to references (a) and (b). 2. Per reference (b), active component meritorious promotion allocations to sergeant is increased. 2.a. Per reference (a), commands will calculate the number of allocations for meritorious promotions to sergeant based on the number of corporals on board on the 1st day of the fiscal quarter (October, January, April, and July). 2.b. Per reference (a), commands are authorized to effect the quarterly meritorious promotions, based on the calculations outlined above, on the 2nd day of November, February, May, and August. 3.
