GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The Commandant of the Marine Corps congratulates the Marines listed below for selection as the 2020 GOMA award recipients.  As specified in reference (b), an annual awards board was convened to review nominations and select awardees for the Marine Corps GOMA Awards Program.  Award recipients are as follows:  (read in three columns)

2.  The sponsor for the award is the Marine Corps Ground Ordnance Maintenance Association (GOMA).  There is no formal HQMC award ceremony associated with the GOMA Award Program.  Due to travel constraints, it is not feasible to conduct an awards banquet.  The absence of a formal awards banquet does not detract from the importance of the awards.  Awards should be presented via appropriate local ceremonies.
2.a.  I Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Forces Reserve G-4 Ordnance representatives will coordinate with the local GOMA representatives for delivery of awards and follow-on presentation.
3.  The GOMA Award Program selection process was extremely challenging due to the highly qualified, professional and competitive nature of all nominees.  Commands are encouraged to recognize all Marines for their hard work and dedication to the Ground Ordnance Maintenance community and mission.  All those nominated are deserving of our highest respect and gratitude.  Congratulations to all the nominees.
