GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The MCA&F awards are administered by the Deputy Commandant for Information and consist of 15 individual awards, 3 unit/organization awards, and 1 individual or team award for the information communities comprised of Intelligence, C4, Cyber, Psychological Operations, Space, Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations, Strategic Communication and Operations, and Civil Affairs.  The high quality of the nominees reflects the continued outstanding performance of all the Marines and Civilians throughout the Information Environment.  Congratulations to all the nominees and selectees for this year’s MCA&F Information Awards.
2.  I am pleased to announce the following selectees:
2.a.  The General Alfred M. Gray Award: Captain Jennifer Eikenberg, MCB Hawaii.
2.b.  The James Hamilton Information Technology (IT) Management Civilian Marine of the Year Award:  Mr. Mark Kemp, MARSOC.

2.c.3.  Staff Noncommissioned Officer Award for Electronics Maintenance Excellence:  Gunnery Sergeant Jose Gomez, Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18.
2.c.4.  Noncommissioned Officer Award for Electronics Maintenance Excellence:  Sergeant Tyler Horton, 3d Marine Raider Battalion.
2.d.  The LtCol Michael D. Kuszewski Marine Corps Intelligence Officer of the Year Award:  Captain Michael Higgins, 1st Marine Raider Battalion.
2.e.  The John J. Guenther Marine Corps Intelligence Civilian of the Year Award:  Mr. Curtis Lineweaver, Marine Corps Information Operations Center.
2.f.  The MGySgt Samuel C. Plott Marine Corps Intelligence Staff Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Award:  Gunnery Sergeant Andrew  Guthart, Marine Cryptologic Support Battalion.
2.g.  The MSgt Charles C. Arndt Marine Corps Intelligence Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Award:  Sergeant Cameron Eckhardt, 3d Intelligence Battalion.
2.h.  The LCpl James E. Swain Marine Corps Intelligence Enlisted Marine of the Year Award:  Lance Corporal Erica Braun, 1st Radio Battalion.
2.i.  The Operations in the Information Environment Officer of the Year Award:  Captain James Brooks, Marine Corps Information Operations Center.
2.j.  The Operations in the Information Environment Civilian of the Year Award:  Mr. Eric Schaner, HQMC DC I.
2.k.  The Operations in the Information Environment Enlisted Marine of the Year Award:  Gunnery Sergeant Joseph Bates, Marine Corps Information Operations Center.
2.l.  The LtCol Kevin M. Shea Memorial Unit of the Year Award:  Marine Wing Communications Squadron 18.
2.m.  The Intelligence Unit of the Year Award:  3d Marine Aircraft Wing G2.
2.n.  The Operations in the Information Environment Unit of the Year Award:   Marine Corps Information Operations Center.
2.o.  The Marine Corps Information Environment Enterprise (MCIEE) Technical Leadership Award:  Mr. Joseph Gerace, Marine Raider Support Group.
2.p.  The Marine Corps Information Environment Enterprise Innovation Award:  Sergeant Michael Connell, Marine Corps Information Operations Center.
3.  The Information Awards selectees will be honored at the annual MCA&F Information Awards Dinner.  The exact date and coordinating instructions will be released via MARADMIN at a later date.
