Per reference (c), the Special Technical Operations Free MOS (8016) selection panel was held from 31 May to 4 June 2021. The panel reviewed 27 applications and selected 20 Marines. Commanders are encouraged to consider utilizing Marines with the 8016 FMOS in accordance with reference (a) to provide material contribution to USMC IJSTO efforts through real-world operations, exercise support, crisis contingency, or deliberate planning efforts. Coordinating with the local MEF/MARFOR STO Chief will increase effectiveness of those holding the FMOS 8016. 4.
