GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. On 2 August 2021, the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (DC, M&RA) convened the FY22 Recruiting Station Commanding Officer (RSCO) Selection Board to select officers as RSCOs and identify alternates for duty beginning in 2022.
2. Marine Corps Recruiting Command is dedicated to recruiting high quality men and women from across our nation to earn the title "Marine." To reinforce and continue ongoing recruiting success, a board of 13 senior officers reviewed the records of all eligible candidates and selected 17 Marines for assignment as RSCO. The board selected an additional 17 officers as alternates. Demonstrated leadership and the potential to operate effectively in this unique, independent duty environment were among the factors considered in the selection process.

5. I encourage commanders to prepare these selected officers with the opportunity for PMOS key billet development in the months remaining on their present tour prior to reporting for duty as a RSCO.
6. The Commandants Professional Intermediate-level Education Board (CPIB) will screen the alternates to attend associated programs in FY22.
7. Officers selected by the board to serve as RSCO need to contact their respective monitors regarding reporting dates.
