GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Situation. The Joint Staff Joint Officer Matters (JS JOM) conducts Experience-based Joint Duty Assignment (E-JDA) review boards three times per calendar year. The purpose of the E-JDA review board is to determine whether self-nominated submissions document that the officer received significant experience in joint matters.
2. Mission. Manpower Management Officer Assignments, Joint Officer Matters Office (JOMO) will function as the Service lead in order to process all E-JDA self-nominated submissions to the JS JOM.
3. Execution - 2022 E-JDA Board Schedule:

3.d. The results of each board will be released within 30 calendar days of the completion of the board.
4. Administration and Logistics
4.a. The officer must meet the below eligibility requirements for their self-nomination experience submission to be processed.
4.a.1 Officers must be promoted to the paygrade of O3 or higher in order to apply for E-JDA.
4.a.2. Officers must submit their self-nomination experience submission to the JOMO no later than 12 months from the completion of their joint experience.
4.a.3 The officers self-nomination experience must cover a time period of 30 days or more to be considered valid.
4.b. The officer must include the below list of validating documents when completing their self-nomination on the web-based application.
4.b.1 Fitness reports for the requested period.
4.b.2 Any award citation and/or narrative for the requested period.
4.b.3 Official orders reporting and detaching endorsements for the requested period.
4.b.4 Leave and Earnings Statements showing the receipt of imminent danger pay (IDP) for each month of the nominated experience.
4.b.5 When self-nominating deployed experiences in an IDP area, officers must submit a Defense Financial Accounting System adjudicated travel voucher that validates actual "boots-on-ground" (BOG) dates at the location where duty was performed. BOG dates for approved submissions that cannot be verified against supporting documentation post-board will reflect as approved, but with no intensity factor multiplier.
4.b.6 If the submission is for an experience the officer believes meets the "acquisition matters" portion of the Joint Matters definition, the officer must provide documentation that the position they filled during the experience was a designated Defense Acquisition Workforce position covered under chapter 87 of title 10. The experience is not board eligible without this documentation.
4.b.7 Marine Reserve Orders Writing System documents will be included when capturing periods of annual training and active duty operational support (applicable only for Reserve Marines).
