GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Director, IC4 is pleased to announce the results for the FY21 Inaugural Micro-Application Development Innovation Challenge.  This event recognizes the outstanding achievement of Coding Teams representing I, II and III Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF).  The products engineered by each team VIA THE Marine Corps Business operations Support Service (MCBOSS) showcased the exceptional talent within our force and validated theory which conceived this challenge.  Given the right resources, talented Marines across the MOS spectrum can design and deliver software capabilities that can enable and efficiencies from tactical to strategic level.
2.  2021 FY-21 Innovation Results:
2.a.  The voting Panel has selected I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) as the winner of the FY-21 Inaugural Micro-Application Development Innovation. The development work – titled GCSS Reconciliation Operations Organizational Tool (GROOT) –achieved excellent grading marks across all evaluating criteria and demonstrated near-term deployment feasibility across the enterprise. 
2.b.  The GROOT application enables marines to conduct reconciliation and easily display trends of their GCSS-MC status reports.  The application is in production and available for Marines across the FMF at https:(slash)(slash)groot.apps.stg.mach9.usmc.mil/
