GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  To announce the FY22 meritorious promotion allocations for PSR, EAD recruiters, and SMCR SNCO's to commanding generals and commanding officers.
2.  Commanders with specific allocations listed below will convene selection boards within their commands to nominate Marines for meritorious promotion by the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC).  The recommendations of the selection boards for the meritorious promotion of Marines to gunnery sergeant and staff sergeant will be endorsed by the commander and submitted via naval correspondence to CMC Enlisted Promotions Section (MMPR-2).  Upon review and approval of the nominations by the CMC Manpower Management Division (MM), unit diary entries will be entered by Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC).  Commanders will prepare certificates of appointment in accordance with reference (a).  Marines already selected for the next grade by a regular promotion board are still eligible for meritorious promotion to that grade if their seniority number has not been reached.  In accordance with reference (b), Marines who are selected to the ranks of SSgt through SgtMaj/MGySgt to include meritorious promotions must have at least 24 months obligated service remaining remaining on contract from the date of promotion.
3.  Per reference (c) the FY22 meritorious promotion allocations are as follows:

3.a.  Extended Active Duty Recruiter nominees must be received no later than 1 December 2021 and will have an effective date of rank of 2 January 2022.
3.b.  SMCR SNCO nominees must be received no later than 1 March 2022 and will have an effective date of rank of 2 April 2022.
3.c.  Prior Service Recruiter nominees must be received no later than 1 June 2022 and will have an effective date of rank of 2 July 2022.
3.d.  Nominations must be submitted to enlistedpromotions@usmc.mil to include the following:
