GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Per ref (a), parachute safety inspections are to be conducted on all Marine Corps commands with a parachute capability at least once every two years. Assist visits will be provided upon request by the command or as directed by DC, PP&O, and Expeditionary Policies Branch (POE). Per ref (b), helicopter rope suspension locker inspections are to be conducted at least every two years on all Marine Corps units authorized to conduct refresher training. Helicopter rope suspension techniques (HRST) assist visits will be conducted as requested by units or by DC, PP&O, Ground Combat Element Branch (POG).
2. These inspections will be completed by the Parachute Safety Analyst assigned to the Naval Safety Center.

3. Details regarding inspection schedules, checklists, in-briefs, and results of the most recent past inspection will be forwarded to each affected activity via email approximately 90 days prior to the planned inspection, or upon request.
4. Scheduled inspections are at no cost to the units. Assist visits are provided to all commands with a parachuting capability upon request via message or email at no cost to commands, and are highly recommended.
5. Conflicts with the unit’s training/operational schedule will be addressed on a case-by-case basis between the unit’s Paraloft Chief and the Naval Safety Center Parachute Safety Analyst.
6. In order to fully meet the requirements of refs (a) and (b), cancellations of paraloft and HRST locker inspections must be endorsed by the first general officer in the unit’s chain of command, and may require the unit to fund travel expenses for the rescheduled inspection. Cancellation requests will be communicated via email to the Naval Safety Center Parachute Safety Analyst, MSgt Gabriel Machado (Gabriel.machado1@navy.mil) and HQMC Safety Division (hqmc_safety_division@usmc.mil).
7. This MARADMIN is applicable to all Marine Corps units with a parachute/HRST capability.
