GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  This MARADMIN announces the results of the FY21 EOA of the Year Selection Board.
2.  Background.  The EOA of the Year Award recognizes outstanding performance within the 0147 active duty force.
3.  Per the reference, on 15 October 2021, a selection board convened to consider the nominations submitted.  All nominees had exemplary records which demonstrated a consistently high level of performance that significantly and positively impacted their commands’ Equal Opportunity programs.  The board Selected MSgt Michael P. Murphy, Marine Corps Forces Reserve New Orleans, LA, as the EOA of the year.
4.  Presentation of the award will be at Marine Corps Forces Reserve New Orleans, LA.
5.  Congratulations to MSgt Michael P. Murphy and all who were nominated. Your performance in this vital area is commendable and directly impacts not only your command, but the entire Marine Corps in a positive manner.
