GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  November 28, 2021 marks the 246th anniversary of the United States Navy Chaplain Corps.  On behalf of the United States Marine Corps, I would like to wish you a happy birthday and express our gratitude for your efforts to build and sustain the spiritual readiness of Marines and Sailors so that they can fulfill their mission in every clime and place.  The best training and equipment cannot win the day if they are not matched with a Marine with a strong spirit who is ready for the test of combat.  Throughout our history, Navy chaplains have been there to foster that spiritual strength and to care for our people around the globe.  I know that in the face of complex threats and challenges our chaplains and religious program specialists will be by our side every step of the way.  Know that you have the respect and appreciation of all Marines, Sailors, and their families for all you continue to do for us.  You have our sincere wishes for a happy birthday.
