GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The following publications are available via the USMC doctrine website https:(slash)(slash)homeport.usmc.mil/sites/mcdoctrine/SitePages/Home.aspx:
1.a.  Marine Corps Reference Publication (MCRP) 3-40D.4, Concrete and Masonry, (Ch 1), was approved on 2 September 2021.  This publication supersedes MCRP 3-17.7D, Concrete and Masonry, dated 23 July 2012.  This publication is primarily a training guide and reference text for engineer personnel using concrete and masonry materials in field construction.  Part one covers the physical characteristics, properties, and ingredients of concrete; mixtures,
design, and constructing forms; and reinforced concrete and field construction procedures.  Part two addresses the mason's tools and equipment as well as the physical characteristics and properties of concrete blocks, bricks, and structural clay tiles.  It further explains construction procedures and methods for engineer units.
1.b.  MCRP 3-20F.10, Multi-Service Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (MTTP) for Air Control Communication, was approved on 2 September 2021.  This publication supersedes MCRP 3-20F.5, MTTP for Air Control Communication, dated 14 February 2020.  MCRP 3-20F.10 establishes communications tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) for tactical command and control (TAC C2) to manage air operations and to control airspace and aircraft.  It also establishes TTP for force packaging and direct air support coordination, air-to-air (A/A) communication, A/A intercept, threat A/A warning, threat surface-to-air warning, and air-to-surface communication.  It provides MTTP for the control and coordination of air operations in TAC C2 managed areas of responsibility (AORs).  This MTTP publication applies to all TAC C2 airspace control elements and warfighters that conduct air operations in AORs managed by the joint force commander (JFC) and overseen by the airspace control authority in accordance with the JFC signed airspace control plan (ACP) and airspace control order (ACO).  Operational and exercise planners can use this publication to inform the ACP, ACO, special instructions, area air defense plan, and rules of engagement.
1.c.  MCRP 3-40B.7, Waste Management for Deployed Forces, was approved on 9 September 2021.  This publication supersedes Marine Corps Interim Publication 3-40G.2i, Waste Management for Deployed Forces, dated 19 July 2013.  This publication provides best Practices and techniques for tactical units conducting waste management activities while deployed.  It provides an understanding of waste streams and provides guidance on minimizing the harmful effects of waste on human health, the environment, and the mission and how to integrate waste management into unit activities.  It describes the planning necessary to estimate generated waste and provides guidance on generating and implementing waste management solutions to fulfill immediate and long-term waste requirements.  The principal audience is Marine Corps commanders, planners, engineers, environmental officers, logisticians, and medical personnel.
1.d.  Marine Corps Warfighting Publication (MCWP) 2-10, Intelligence Operations, was approved on 6 October 2021.  This publication supersedes MCWP 2-10, Intelligence Operations, dated 10 September 2003 and cancels change 1 dated 4 April 2018 and erratum dated 2 May 2016.  MCWP 2-10 integrates lessons learned from nearly two decades of continuous combat operations, addresses operations across the competition continuum in mature and immature theaters, and incorporates key elements from the Tentative Manual for Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations.  Readers can expect additional revisions driven by rapid advances in data analytics and experimentation using the expeditionary advanced base operations concept and a force designed and optimized for great power competition against pacing threats.
1.e.  MCRP 3-40D.12, Construction Estimating, was approved on 19 October 2021.  This publication supersedes MCRP 3-40D.12, Construction Estimating, dated 1 December 2010, and erratum dated 2 May 2016.  MCRP 3-40D.12 describes common methods, procedures, formats, and technical data for preparing construction project estimates for general engineering and contingency construction projects performed by military engineer units.  It provides information on estimating materiel quantities, equipment, and military labor requirements and is applicable to projects of varying size, scope, and conditions.  This publication is intended for military engineer project crew leaders, but is also useful for staff-level engineers serving as liaison officers and training and educational institutions.
