SUBJ/43RD BIRTHDAY OF THE RELIGIOUS PROGRAM SPECIALIST RATING//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. On 15 January 2022, we celebrate the 43rd birthday of the Navy's Religious Program Specialist Rating. Throughout the years, the men and women of the Religious Program Specialist rating have served Marines and Sailors around the globe. As I travel around the fleet, I am inspired by their professionalism and dedication to duty. Additionally, their attitude of service to others continues to build the spiritual readiness of Marines.
2. For over 40 years, Religious Program Specialists have served honorably alongside chaplains in the field, aboard ship, and in garrison, to enhance the spiritual readiness of our Marines and Sailors. As our Corps transforms into a more agile and lethal naval force-in-readiness, their support is critical to build and sustain the spiritual readiness of Marines and Sailors to fulfill the mission. I am proud of their commitment to answering the call to duty.
3. Religious Program Specialists are an essential part of our Sea Service. We are grateful for their dedication and selfless service. On behalf of the Marine Corps, I thank them and wish them a Happy Birthday.
4. Semper Fidelis. David H. Berger, General, U.S. Marine Corps, Commandant of the Marine Corps.//
