GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This MARADMIN provides amplifying guidance for the minimum requirements needed to submit for a waiver to attend the Marine Corps Basic Police Officer Course (BPOC) listed in ref (a).
2.  In order to apply for the BPOC waiver, the candidate must meet the conditions prescribed in paragraph 030130.C. of ref (a).
3.  Amplifying guidance.  Examples of duties performed by the candidate that do not meet the minimum requirement to submit for a BPOC waiver are listed below as outlined in ref (a):
3.a.  Security guard or corrections officer duties.
3.b.  A military member temporarily assigned security and law enforcement duties for a Provost Marshal Office or Marine Corps Police Department who does not possess the Primary Military Occupational Skill of Military Police; e.g.  Security Augmentation Force member.
3.c.  A Department of Defense Reservist or National Guard member that is not in an active duty status.  All categories of active duty status for Reservists and National Guard members shall be honored.  A minimum of 730 consecutive days of active duty service in a law enforcement capacity must be documented in order to qualify for the two-year minimum requirement prescribed in ref (a).
3.d.  A candidate that served or is currently serving as a reserve or part-time civilian police officer for a civilian law enforcement agency shall have a minimum of 30 hours per week of documented law enforcement duties over a two-year period in order to qualify for a waiver per ref (a).
4.  The MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
