GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Periodically throughout the year, the Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch (MPE) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Branch of Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) convene boards to select award recipients for numerous Department of Defense (DoD) and affinity group awards programs.  These regional and national awards programs provide commanders with additional means of recognizing Marines, Sailors, and civilians for their superior performance.
2.  All Marines, Sailors, and civilian employees, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or religion are eligible for nomination.  Commanders at the battalion/squadron level or above may nominate individuals by completing a nomination package and submitting it to MPE via the organizational mailbox MPE_Outreach@usmc.mil.  A sample nomination package can be found on the MPE website at www.manpower.usmc.mil/webcenter/portal/MPE_OA.  The picture required as part of the package will not be part of the awardee selection process.  The photo may be used by the awarding organization in award ceremony publications or displays.  Photo submissions should be a high-resolution, command-style photo in the Service “A” uniform.
3.  The following calendar year 2022 outreach awards nominations are due to MPE via the points of contact by 1 April 2022.  For more information on specific award criteria, please visit the website for each award listed.
