GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. CMC (MMEA) will host the FY23 Virtual Senior Career Planner Symposium in order to provide professional development and training regarding the FY23 Enlisted Retention Guidelines for the First Term Alignment Plan (FTAP) and Subsequent Term Alignment Plan (STAP). During the Virtual Senior Career Planner Symposium CMC (MMEA) personnel and senior Career Planners from across the force will discuss updates to FY23 Enlisted Retention Campaign to align with Talent Management 2030.
2. The symposium will convene from 12 April 2022 at 1400-1700 EST via Microsoft Teams for CONUS participants. The symposium will convene for OCONUS participants on 13 April 2022 at 1600-1900 EST via Microsoft Teams. The uniform of the day for this event is woodland MARPAT utilities.
3. Commanders may authorize Permissive Temporary Additional Duty for Marines attached to their unit to allow virtual participation in this event.
4. The FY23 Virtual Senior Career Planner Symposium is intended for the below listed Major Subordinate Command Career Planner Staff Non-commissioned Officers in Charge and their assistants.
4.a. Major Subordinate Commands: MARFORPAC, MARFORCOM, MARFOREUR, MARFORK, MARFORRES, MARFORSOC, I MEF, II MEF, III MEF, 1ST MAW, 2D MAW, 3D MAW, 4TH MAW, 1ST MARDIV, 2D MARDIV, 3D MARDIV, 4TH MARDIV, 1ST MLG, 2D MLG, 3D MLG, 4TH MLG, MCCDC, MCIPAC, MCIWEST, TECOM, CAREER PLANNER SCHOOL, WRR, ERR, AND LOGCOM.
5. Major Subordinate Commands should identify attendees no later than 1 April 2022 via email to GySgt Amanda J. Eason (amanda.eason@usmc.mil) using the following format:
5.a. Rank.
5.b. Name.
5.c. Unit.
5.d. DSN/COMM Phone.
5.e. Email Address. A confirmation of receipt will be sent in response.
6. Following this event, senior enlisted Career Planners will ensure all subordinate Career Planners have a clear understanding of the FY23 FTAP and STAP Enlisted Retention Guidelines.
