GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Reference (a) incorporates the background, objectives, and instructions for the virtual Training Input Plan (TIP) Working Group originally planned for 8 - 9 March 2022. This working group was postponed and an announcement sent to sponsors via separate correspondence in conjunction with updated guidance regarding information system related delays associated with the Sponsor TIP Tool imbedded in the Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS) Student Registrar Module. This message announces new dates, 26 - 27 April 2022, and provides final guidance to sponsors who must submit formal school training requirements to the working group. This message also requires sponsors to identify any anticipated increase in FY22 or FY23 requirements due to lost training opportunities prior to the working group convening.
2. Working group execution.
2.a. The working group will meet virtually via Microsoft Teams. To join the virtual team, open Microsoft Teams and select at the bottom left of the screen, "Join or create a team." Search for team name "FY24 - 28 Training Input Plan Working Group."
2.b. When established, dial-in information will also be posted within the virtual team. If attendees are unable to participate via Teams, use the point of contact provided to ask for dial-in instructions. Those who use Commercial Virtual Remote Teams may need to dial-in.
2.c. Within the virtual team, under the tab "Files," the working group host will post an agenda and any other documents attendees may need in advance.
2.d. The scope of the working group will address only courses that have either more than one sponsor, or a total requirement that exceeds course capacity. For courses not satisfying those two criteria, Student Registrar Branch will validate those requirements outside of the 26 - 27 April working group. There is no attendance requirements for sponsors whose course requirements do not meet the stated two criteria above. Sponsors not required to attend this working group will have their FY24 through FY28 TIP inputs verified via the MCTIMS Sponsor TIP Tool.
2.e. For any course with less than two sponsors or total requirement that does not exceed capacity, but warrants close attention, the Student Registrar Branch will contact the sponsor(s) to ensure their attendance. The agenda posted within MS Teams will identify sponsors who are expected to attend, as well as sponsors whose attendance is not required. Also, if a sponsor not listed to attend the working group believes a course warrants close attention, please contact Student Registrar Branch to nominate the course.
3. Sponsor contact information and FY22 and FY23 requirements.
3.a. Sponsors must verify accuracy of their contact information in Student Registrar module is current by 25 April.
3.b. In MCTIMS, go to Student Registrar module. At the top of the screen, hover the cursor over "Sponsor." Click on "Sponsor TIP Tool." At top left, click on "Sponsor." In the list provided, find your sponsor code. At far left, select the drop-down menu. Select "Edit Sponsor."
3.c. No later than 25 April, sponsors will advise Student Registrar Branch if they anticipate increasing FY22 or FY23 requirements due to any recently lost training opportunities.
4. This MARADMIN applies to the total force.
