GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  To announce the results of the FY22 Olmsted Scholar Program Selection Board.
2.  Background.  Per ref (a), seven nominees were selected on the FY22 Commandant's Education Board.  On 16 March 2022 the Olmsted Scholar Foundation announced the selection of three Marine Officers as part of the Olmsted Scholar class of 2023.
3.  The following officers were selected:

4.  The Olmsted Foundation and Headquarters Marine Corps recognize the high caliber of all the officers who applied for this prestigious program and congratulate those selected.
5.  Coordinating Instructions.
5.a.  This message serves as notice of orders for the officers listed in paragraph 3.  Per ref (c), officers may request for retirement or resignation, if eligible.
5.b.  Per the references, participation in the Olmsted Scholarship Foundation Program incurs a four year service obligation upon completion of the program.  This obligation is to be served concurrently with any pre-existing service obligation.
5.c.  Selectees must contact MMOA-3 Graduate Education Office via email for orders coordination within 2 weeks from the date of this MARADMIN.
5.d.  Selectees will coordinate language training and program requirements with MCU.
